Yesterday I BEgan. New BEginnings are enchanting. They can BE daunting, too, if I'm not paying attention. Yet somehow, all the stars seemed to have aligned and Day 1 was simply wondrous.


This is my first time doing NaNoWriMo [National Novel Writing Month] as well AEDM [Art Every Day Month]. It might BE too much, yet it's actually something of a relief. I write every day anyway, and I make art every day, too. Perhaps, like so many things, I simply need this container.


All Original is one of 28 paintings I've selected for making 2012 calendars. I've been gifting my calendars to family and friends for several years and this year my wee business is launching itself by offering customised calendars. My writing isn't actually a "novel" but it is my story, told through my Gratitude writings these past 5 years. It's actually quite fun rereading myself, Now, especially rediscovering so much about all that I thought and felt and believed along this leg of my Journey.


I'm finding all these new dimensions in uncharted territory rather fun, Now that I've got my "sea legs" a bit. It surely helps that I'm NOT doing this alone. Lots of others do NaNoWriMo and AEDM, and I'm sure there are quite a few who have travelled the road I am travelling, too, doing both.


It's giving me a reason to BEgin a blog, too. I think it's rather amazing, actually, how these wonderful people created all these day-at-a-time fun ways to BEgin and Continue.


Makes me mighty grateful...
